Mountain biking is an activity that can be enjoyed by almost anyone of any age.
Learning the basics from an instructor is the best way to ensure safe confident progression.
Intermediate riders can also benefit from an appropriate certified instructor (PMBIA level 2) to learn some of the more complicated technical skills in a safe controlled approach, building confidence along the way.
To learn more about the level of guide/instructors you may want, check out the “Choosing an instructor” or “PMBI certification explained” posts.
Even seasoned, intermediate to advanced, riders can enjoy the freedom of pushing new limits on trials by having a local guide to follow or assist with further skill development on the trail, and to get informed about possible advanced trail features or terrain variations by someone familiar with the area before riding “blindly” into them.
So go get outside and..
Be rad mountain biking!
